Nodular (spheroidal-graphite) cast iron for strength-critical applications
EN-GJS-400-15C is a nodular (spheroidal-graphite) cast iron also known as GGG-40. A ferritic microstructure gives high strength and elongation together with a high modulus of elasticity and good machinability. Typical applications include pressure vessels, regulator housings, valves and fittings, turbine housings, automotive components, and hydraulic parts.
