Medium-hard leaded tin bronze for demanding bearing applications
CuSn10Pb10 is also known as Ltp110 and Promet 1010 — in international standards the material appears under the designations JM5 and CC495K. The alloy is a medium-hard leaded tin bronze with good sliding properties and wear resistance and good corrosion resistance against acids. It tolerates high surface pressures and moderate edge loading and has good emergency-lubrication behaviour. Typical applications include peeling-drum bearing bushings, calender bearings, vehicle bearings, earth-moving-machinery bearings, turbine-runner bearings, paper-winder bearings, and the guide bushings of telescopic tubes.
