Lead-free gunmetal for drinking-water and sanitary applications
CuSn4Zn2PS is a lead-free gunmetal known under the designations RG+ and CC470K. Phosphorus and sulphur replace the role of lead in machinability, and the alloy meets the restrictions set by the REACH and RoHS requirements. In its mechanical properties the material is equivalent to RG5. Typical applications include components for drinking-water systems, valve parts and pipe fittings, and sanitary fittings.
