Strong, corrosion-resistant aluminium bronze for demanding applications
CuAl10Fe2 is also known as Promet Ap110 — in international standards the material appears under the designations JM6 and CC331G. The alloy has excellent static and dynamic strength that is retained up to 400 °C, together with excellent corrosion resistance — although it is not suited to alkaline solutions. Typical applications include high-strength, acid-proof fittings for the chemical and food-processing industries and shipbuilding, mine-pump components, propellers, valves, bushings, the valve seats and guides of internal-combustion engines, and bevel gears.
